PyKota currently recognizes a lot of printer languages,
but it's possible your printer driver produce output which can't be parsed
correctly, either because of bugs in PyKota's software accounting
mechanism, or simply because this output is unknown to PyKota.
The best solution in this case is to try another printer driver. Most
recent laser printers recognize several Page Description Languages.
The best solution is usually to use a PostScript driver on the
clients (for example the generic CUPS driver for Windows), and
have the CUPS server do the final rendering.
As an alternative, you could use hardware accounting, which is
the recommended way to use PyKota.
Finally, you may want to submit a set of test files to us for further
improvement of PyKota's software accounting mechanism. |
